Background and Education

Dan grew up both Versailles and Louisville, KY and moved to Lexington in  1994 to start Blue Grass Home Entertainment. He attended Georgetown College and then finished up his education at University of Louisville. He has a degree in Business Administration/Political Science ans is an Engineer. Dan has Certifications with Runco Academy, HAA(Home Acoustic Alliance) - both Level 1 and Level 2. ISF(Imaging Science Foundation). Sencore, CEDIA - (Custom Electronics Design & installation Association), with professional Installer & Professional Designer, CentraLite, Control4, Honeywell, SONY, Direct TV and Quest Association Interiors. As a hobby, Dan assists with National Instructors with audio and video calibrations  CEDIA and at national trade shows. Dan has written several editorials which have been published in the local magazines and trade publications answering popular questions about the Audio/Video industry. He has also been studying and working in the Audio/Video industry for the past 15 years.

I have a passion for great Audio and Video! It is my goal to always look for ways to improve past  and current installs so they provides the best possible Audio & Video environment possible for the client. After all, all projects reflect on us & are an extension of us. Great projects start with a great design then need a Professional Planning and rough-in and then are complicated with the quality equipment and the professional installations and setup. Background & Education

Kenda grew up in Louisville, Kentucky and moved to Lexington in 1996 with Dan to start BGHE.  She worked in the banking industry in Lexington for 8 years and then decided to stay home with her children and become more involved in the day to day operations of BGHE. Kenda currently is incharge of the financial aspect of the company.

Hobbies

Kenda is an avid tennis player and enjoys spending time with her children.

Background

Born and raised in Western Kentucky as a dirt farmer, moved to Lexington in 1979 to attend the University of Kentucky. Worked after UK in a manager position for 17 years. I have turned a hobby into a profession that I truly love.

Small mouth bass fishing and any UK sporting event.

Background

Raised in Central Kentucky and lived here my whole life.  Music has been my lively hood since i was 17 years old.  I attended Fugazzi College and majored in Broadcasting.  Jeff is certified Tech and designer of Elon, Control4 and lite-touch equipment.

Music is my life and lively hood!  I love to entertain, so what better way than to help design quality audio and video systems for clients.  As technology changes I love learning about the different ways clients can entertain themselves with audio, video, home automation and lighting at a push of a button.

Hobbies

Being a Disc Jockey and anything related to basketball and football.

Background & Education

Michael was born in Forestville, MD & raised in Lexington, KY. He attended Eastern Kentucky University and studied Police Administration. Michael has certifications with Elan University & CEDIA,  with Professional Installer & Professional Design.

Hobbies

Baseball, Softball, Golf, and Basketball. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends, and having cookouts - while playing cornhole.

Background

Lori grew up in Versailles and graduated form Woodford County High School.  She lived in Lawerenceburg for 10 years. There she owned her own business for 5 years and the relocated to Georgetown in 2004 and became a part of BGHE in January of 2006.

Hobbies

Lori's hobbies are attending daughters cheer and dance competitions and being a taxi for her girls.  She also enjoys to spend valuable time with her family and friends.

Background

Michael was born and raised right here in Lexington!  He graduated from Tates Creek High School.  He got into audio/video at the age of 19 and has been in it since for about 6 years.  He joined BGHE in April of 2006.  He is currently certified as an Advanced System Integration for Elan, Level Tech 1 in programming for control 4, and soon to be level 1 tech for CEDIA.

Hobbies

Spending time with his family, playing cornhole, cookout with friends and family

“I've always bead a fascination for sound and video.  I enjoy each install like its my first and the challenges each individual install holds.  Customers have the same basic ideas for an incredible home theaters but everyone has a different outlooks and specific details on their install and I hope to satisfy all of them and leave them WOWED!”

Background

Don grew up in Georgetown and graduated from Scott County High School. Don is CEDIA installer Level I certified and Control 4 Tech I certified.

Hobbies

Hiking, Canoing, Spelunking, Rock Climbing/Rappelling and Paintball.

Background

Marc grew up in both Las Vegas, Nevada and Los Angeles, California.  He graduated from Lafayette High School in Lexington, Kentucky.  Marc has attended numerous technical schools for appliances, TV, and bowling/gaming equipment, specializing High/Low Voltage troubleshooting and repair.  Marc has installed home theater and audio products for Duke in Slim's TV in Lancaster, California and Pieratt's in Lexington, Kentucky.

Hobbies

Marc is a professional musician, playing guitar, bass, drums and is a multi-part vocalist. He played for the band “Spectra” in Lexington for a number of years in the '90's.

I truly enjoy working with customers, setting up and installing the latest and greatest in technology.  This is a constantly changing field, and I am looking forward to learning more and doing more in the years to come.

Background

Jared was born and raised in Lexington, KY and has been working in the Audio/Video industry for the past 5 years.

Hobbies

Jared's hobbies are golfing, kayaking, camping and hiking.

Background & Education

I installed satellites for 7 years as well as worked at BGHE for the past 2 years. I have certifications from NUVO and CEDIA. I am currently attending KCTCS working towards a degree in Computer Information Technology.

Camping, boating and spending time with my new beautiful wife and three dogs.
