Dan grew up in both Versailles and Louisville, KY and moved to Lexington in 1994 to start Blue Grass Home Entertainment. He attended Georgetown College and then finished up his education at University of Louisville. He has a degree in Business Administration (Business Administration/ Political Science) and is an Audio/ Video Engineer. Dan has Certifications with CISCO – SMBE & SMBAM, Runco Academy, HAA (Home Acoustic Alliance) – both Level 1 and Level 2. ISF (Imaging Science Foundation), Sencore, CEDIA – (Custom Electronics Design & installation Association), with Professional Installer (EST), Project Management (ESPM) & Professional Designer (ESD), CentraLite, Control4, Honeywell, SONY, DirecTV and Quest Acoustical Interiors. As a hobby, Dan assists with National Instructors with audio and video calibrations at CEDIA and at national trade shows. Dan has written several editorials which have been published in the local magazines and trade publications answering popular questions about the Audio/Video industry. He has also been studying and working in the Audio/Video industry for the past 18 years. Hobbies: Golfing, fishing, coaching youth football & basketball & playing sports & board games with his girls. Mission Statement: “I want to WOW our clients by simulating their senses with quality Audio, Video & Home Automation products.” I have a passion for great Audio and Video! It is my goal to always look for ways to improve past and current installs so they provides the best possible Audio & Video environment possible for the client. After all, all projects reflect on us & are an extension of us. Great projects start with a great design then need a Professional Planning and rough-in and then are complicated with the quality equipment and the professional installations and setup. Kenda L. Moore Secretary / Controller Email: kmoore@bghe.com Background & Education: Kenda grew up in Louisville, KY and moved to Lexington in 1996 with Dan to start BGHE. She is a graduate of University of Louisville & graduated with honors (Cum Laude). She worked in the banking industry after college in Nashville & in Lexington for about 8 years and then decided to stay home with her children and become more involved in the day to day operations of BGHE. Kenda currently is incharge of the financial & advertising aspects of the company. Hobbies: Kenda is an avid tennis player and enjoys spending time with her children. |

Mark Florence Project Manager / ESPM, ESD Email: mflorence@bghe.comBackground & Education: Mark grew up in Lexington, KY. Mark attended KCTCS, LCC & CEDIA for his post High School education and studied IT/ Computers, Networking & Audio/ Video at these Colleges. Mark is Control4 Level 1 Certified as well as CEDIA (ESPM) Certified. Mark started working at Blue Grass Home Entertainment in 2002. Hobbies: Mark loves music (Phish is his favorite group), he also loves to travel, snow ski, watching movies which his wife Angie & loves taking his dogs to the park. Mission Statement: “I enjoy working with clients that want quality Audio / Video & New Technology type products, but want them to be professionally installed & simple to use.It is rewarding to have a job where I can take clients ideas & turn them into reality. Mike grew up in Louisville, KY & moved to Lexington in 1988 to attend the University of Kentucky. Mike graduated with an Associates Degree in General Science. After college, he began his career in the Audio/ Video field. Mike started out being an Technician/ Installer & worked his way up the ladder to a Programmer, Head Tech & then went into Management field. Until he began his career with Blue Grass Home Entertainment, Mike was a consultant & had been asked to open a store for another local competitor. Home Theater / Home Cinema is his passion & he feels fortunate that he is able to earn a living doing something that he is truely passionate about.
Hobbies:
Mike loves to tinker in audio/ video electronics by continuing to upgrade & test products in his personal Home Theater. He also loves to go the to movies, play sports, go to UK sporting events, but most of all, he loves spending time with his son (Michael) & wife (Kim).

Don is CEDIA installer Level I certified and Control 4 Tech I certified. Hobbies: Hiking, Canoing, Spelunking, Rock Climbing/Rappelling and Paintball. Chris Perkins Project Manager / ESPM, ESD Email: cperkins@bghe.com Mission Statement: I am committed to providing the highest quality of service & support on the products in our industry as well as rewarding our customers who rely on us for their entertainment needs & experience. Background: Chris was born and raised in Central Kentucky. A graduate of East Jessamine High school, Chris has spent the last 8 Years in a retail location working with electronics. Hobbies: Watching movies, playing cards w/ friends & studying new technologies. I also enjoy taking care of the family pets & spending quality of time with my wife & young son (and long walks on the beach… just kidding). |
